Calculations and shared links

Date calculations run on your device in your browser. DateRuler does not require a user account or send date-form inputs to a calculation service. When you deliberately share a calculation link, values after the # character in its URL are visible to anyone who receives that link. Those fragments are not normally included in requests to the hosting server. Avoid sharing private dates if that matters to you.

Hosting and access logs

The website is intended to be hosted by STRATO AG (Germany). Like other web hosts, STRATO handles network metadata such as IP addresses, requested pages and access times to deliver the site and protect its infrastructure. STRATO states that visitors' IP addresses are stored in security logs for up to seven days. This information is used to operate and secure the website. Where applicable, the legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure website operation (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Review the applicable STRATO package settings and service contracts for the exact data flow.

Cookies and advertising

Before AdSense activation, the site includes no advertising or analytics scripts. The calculators do not require advertising or tracking cookies. If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may process device and interaction data, and may use cookies or similar technology for advertising, frequency management, measurement and personalization. For covered regions DateRuler intends to use Google's certified consent management solution and available privacy choices. Additional advertising disclosures, vendors and international transfer information must be finalized for the actual approved AdSense account before ads are enabled.

When you email contact@dateruler.com, the message and your contact details are used to process your request. Retention depends on the content and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Do not send sensitive information unnecessarily.

Your privacy choices and rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability or object to processing. Consent, where used, may be withdrawn for the future. You can submit privacy requests through the contact email above. You may also complain to an appropriate data-protection supervisory authority. No automated decisions under GDPR Article 22 are made by the calculation functions.
